Australian Uru CD Key Issues

Apparently, there was a serious problem with package printing and distribution of Uru in Australia, and boxes were shipped without CD Keys printed on them.
This doesn’t stop people from being able to play the game but will cause problems when players try to subscribe the the Live portion of Uru

The Australian UbiSoft Product Manager has posted this to the UbiSoft Uru Forum:

Hi All,

Before you all kill me please firstly accept my apologies as the Product Manager for Ubisoft Australia.
There has been a problem in regards to CD keys as it seems that at the time of production the CD keys were not incorporated. We have addressed this issue and well be able to provide you CD keys by Monday (Australian Time)

In our rush to ensure the product hit shelves for our fan base, Q&A was pushed out and led to this unfortunate mistake. (We tried guys)

In regards to the responses you have been getting from phone support, this is an outsourced service and they should have been more resourceful in contacting us first before advising incorrect information. They will be dealt with locally, but all I can do is give you my apologies for their poor service.

As the CD keys purely affect the Live service and not the stand alone game I hope it is ok with you guys if we provide you CD keys Monday. Please e-mail me at support@ubisoft.com.au.

I understand how ****** off you all are but please understand it was never our intention to cause this problem.

Do i get points for at least braving it out in replying amongst the angry hoards?

Please forgive me ***cringes in corner***

While this could effect the chances in getting into the Prologue test I’m sure Ubisoft are doing all they can to rectify this issue and the speedy response from them will help to calm people down.
