About MystiTech

MystiTech Productions was formed in February 2013 by Nora Leonard and Frank Zavelberg with the intention of making a Myst machinima using the avatars and locations of Cyan’s Myst Online: Uru Live. Without the generosity of Cyan, who made the game engine and development tools available as open source in April 2011, this project would not be possible.

Sep 6 18 Steam Game Codes Going Out

Via the Kickstarter Page:

Monday, September 10th, 2018, we will begin emailing Myst 25 Kickstarter Backers their Steam keys. Backers’ Steam key distribution begins at 10am and will continue until we’ve emailed them all.

Make sure your email system has our email “backers@cyan.com” marked as a safe sender so you can receive your Steam keys email. If we’re not marked safe in your system, the email might get dropped into Spam, Junk, or Trash. Worse, it might get deleted and you’d never know it.

The Steam key distribution process may take a few days. If you’re a Backer who chose Steam in the survey you returned to Blackbox.cool and you do not see an email by 10am Friday, September 14th, 2018, please email support@cyan.com to request help.

A reminder for anyone who missed it before: Steam keys provide access to both the Windows 10 (PC) and MacOS 10.13 builds (when the Mac ones become available), and the keys should have no expiration date.

Thank you all for waiting so patiently as we worked to get the games ready for you. We can’t wait to send you those keys!

Aug 28 18 New Myst T Shirt at Fangamer

The first product has been added to the Myst merch section of Fangamer. A beautifully designed T-Shirt by Ian Wilding showing the falling man over the top of Myst Island. The T-shirt also comes with a nifty “Falling Man” sticker.

Kickstarter backers have a one time use 20% off coupon for the merch store.

You can pick up your shirt here: Myst Merch Store

[Note] – The T-Shirts are currently sold out due to high demand, you can preorder for the next run.

Jul 6 18 GoG Game Codes Going Out

Those who opted for game codes via GoG.com are starting to find them in their email inboxes.

If you have returned your completed survey, please have patience as you wait for your code. If you didn’t receive a code yet but did return your survey, it just means your number in the queue has not yet been served. The queue, remember, is 19,000+ backers.

There are many issues being handled behind the scenes, and we are working as fast and efficiently as we can to serve many, many help requests. If you sent a request for help already and didn’t get a reply yet, please have a bit more patience. You might not hear from us until next week, depending when you wrote in.

We are aware of an issue some Backers have run into when redeeming their Myst 25 code at GOG. It appears that if all the check boxes were not checked for all 7 games, only the games whose check boxes were ticked will be added to the Backer’s account.

If this has happened to you, please link to GOG SUPPORT immediately so they can begin working their magic (resetting your individual code) and get all the games you pledged to own into your account.

May 26 04 Uru: The Path of the Shell, Press Release

Uru: The Path of the Shell Tells of D’ni’s Future

SAN FRANCISCO – May 26, 2004 – Ubisoft, one of the world’s leading videogame companies, today announced that Uru: The Path of the Shell, the third piece of Myst’s Uru adventure, will be available beginning July 13 for the PC at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $19.99.

“We are excited to bring this chapter of the Uru story to eager fans,” said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing, Ubisoft. “Uru: Ages Beyond Myst has achieved both critical and consumer success, and The Path of the Shell will only help solidify the title as a ‘must-have’ for Myst and adventure fans.”

This adventure’s complete boxed set, Uru: Complete Chronicles, includes the content in Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, Myst Uru: To D’n? (the free downloadable expansion released in February) and The Path of the Shell. The PC release of Complete Chronicles will be available on July 13 at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $39.99.

The Path of the Shell will challenge and reward players with many new puzzles, new clothing options (including reward clothing), new player journals, technical features (including swimming), and five all-new Relto customization options.

“The Path of the Shell further expands the Uru portion of the Myst adventure series,” said Rand Miller, co-creator of Myst and president of Cyan Worlds. “We know fans are excited to play through the next stages of the Uru story, and we’re confident they will be impressed.”

Uru Chronology:

– Uru: Ages Beyond Myst took players on an adventure to learn of the D’ni’s past.
– Uru: To D’ni, the first expansion pack, which is still available via free download, leads players into the present.
– Uru: The Path of the Shell, the second expansion pack, looks into the future of the D’ni.

Uru: Ages Beyond Myst was included in TIME Magazine’s top ten games for 2003, won PC Gamer’s “Adventure Game of the Year” and was among the top-five selling PC titles for the 2003 holiday season – in fact, sales outdistanced its closest adventure genre competitor by more than 100,000 units.
